Manchester United are not only planning to keep Michael Carrick at the club, but also his assistant coach, Steve Holland.
While the news has been in the air for quite some time, almost every major source in Britain confirmed on Wednesday that INEOS have decided to move forward with Carrick.

The 44-year-old has achieved impressive results since taking over from Ruben Amorim in January. With United’s place in the Champions League already secured, the hierarchy decided to entrust him with a permanent role, as contract talks are expected to take place in the coming days.

According to Man Utd insider Sully, Holland was originally planning to stay for only six months at Carrington before leaving the club, but the management is determined to retain his services, offering him a new contract.
“As reported, Carrick is expected to be offered the head coach role,” posted the journalist on his X (formerly Twitter) account. “Steve Holland is also expected to be offered a new deal with him.

Why keeping Holland is crucial for Man Utd & CarrickWhile the head coach is the one who’s in the public eye, every member of the staff has a vital role to play, especially at the top level.
Therefore, pairing Carrick with the right assistant was a priority for Jason Wilcox and Co., and Holland’s appointment has been described as a brilliant coup.
The Stockport native has been widely applauded for his work. Sully had also identified him as the ‘genius’ who turned Man Utd’s tactics around in the second half of the campaign.
