Manchester United will face stiff competition from Liverpool and Arsenal in their pursuit of Benfica defensive sensation Daniel Banjaqui.
Daniel Banjaqui has had a sensational rise at Benfica. Jose Mourinho introduced him into the first team and handed him his senior debut back in December. At just 17, the Portuguese youth international has made quite a name for himself and a host of Premier League clubs are after his signature.
Manchester United to battle it out for Daniel BanjaquiAccording to a report from TEAMtalk, Manchester United are keen to sign the teenage sensation, but they will have to battle six other English top-flight clubs, including Arsenal and Liverpool. All three clubs could use more depth in the full-back areas, and Banjaqui would be a superb long-term investment.
While the teenager is yet to be officially promoted to the first team, he has featured in three games for Mourinho. The young full-back is considered a generational talent, and his impressive rise hasn’t gone unnoticed.
Some of the biggest clubs in Europe are after his signature, but it seems intermediaries have recently spoken with English clubs, including Manchester United. The Red Devils seek more quality on the right flank and consider the teenager a strong long-term investment.
